CLASSIC FAVORITES AND RISING STARS SET TO PERFORM DURING BOOTH AMPHITHEATRE’S SIXTH SEASON

Cary , NC– The Spring and Summer Concert Season is right around the corner and with it comes the anticipation of who will be gracing the stage at the region’s premier outdoor concert venue. Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary is pleased to announce another stellar season that includes a variety of acts including Chicago, The Fray, A Very Special Performance by Tony Rice and Alison Kraus & Union Station, Clay Aiken, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Taylor Hicks, Robert Cray Band with Koko Taylor, Elvis Costello with the North Carolina Symphony and more.

Fueled by a new promoter in concert giant Live Nation, this will be the first season of shows since Live Nation acquired House of Blues last year. According to Becky Schmidt, Booth Amphitheatre General Manager, initial sentiments are that the decision was a positive move for the Town of Cary .

“When you take into consideration the power that Live Nation has in producing and booking some of the biggest, and best shows touring today and the Booth Amphitheatre’s commitment to showcasing a superior level of talent we can’t help but be excited about what the future holds for this new relationship.”

The Booth Amphitheatre Season is anchored by the North Carolina Symphony Summerfest Series, which this year boasts another unique collection of concerts including special guest Wynnona, not to mention the area’s biggest and best Independence Day Celebration. The wildly popular Movies by Moonlight will be back every Thursday in June and July with feature films to delight the entire family. Fabulous festivals like Great Grapes!, Diwali, Carolina Music Festival and Triangle Uncorked are all slated to return this year as well as cultural performances including “An American Celebration” featuring the Concert Singers of Cary and Triangle Wind Ensemble plus the annual “Play with the Pros” concert as the North Carolina Symphony is joined by some of the areas talented amateur musicians.

Lyman Collins, Town of Cary Cultural Arts Manager explains that these types of events truly make Booth Amphitheatre unique. “We hope patrons enjoy our eclectic season line-up. Cultural and performing arts events have always been a central feature of the Amphitheatre’s offerings and I believe that along with our pristine and naturally beautiful setting our varied programming makes Booth Amphitheatre unique.”
