CUPID IS COMING TO CARY ON VALENTINE’S WEEKEND

CARY, NC –  Chocolate kisses, love scenes, and sweet songs are just a few of the treats in store for guests attending The Cary Players’ presentation of “Love Bits and Bites” at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop and the Cary Concert Singers annual concert, “Valentine’s Classics,” at the Glenaire Community Center, 4000 Glenaire Circle in Cary on Valentine’s Weekend.

Beginning Friday, February 10 and Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 8 p.m. nightly, “Love Bits and Bites” will feature love scenes and songs that celebrate and lament the many sides of love. Each member of the audience will receive a red or silver Hershey kiss upon entrance.  For persons with a red kiss, they will stay on the bottom floor for the first half of the show to enjoy love scenes.  Recipients of silver kisses will venture to the third floor for the first half of the show, where they will be entertained by love songs and scenes exploring a different side of love.  At intermission, the audiences will come together to feast on sweet treats and then switch floors to be entertained with songs and scenes they did not watch during the first half.

“This event is sure to be an entertaining and creative way to celebrate Valentine’s Day,” said Show Director and Town Cultural Arts Manager Lyman Collins.

Tickets for “Love Bits and Bites” are $15 and are available at the Herb Young Community Center or through Ticketmaster at (919) 834-4000 or www.ticketmaster.com

Also on Saturday, February 11 at 7:30 p.m. , lovers and friends of all ages are invited to “Valentine’s Classics,” in which select vocalists of the Cary Concert Singers will perform original renditions of love songs.  Individual selections and performers will be announced at the event.  Tickets are $12 (seniors 60 and older) and $15 (general public) and are available at the door and in advance at Burt Music Company, 1341 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary .  For more on the Concert Singers, call (919) 678-1009, email information@concertsingers.com or visit www.concertsingers.org.
