TRAFFIC ALERT  

 

 

Effective immediately and at least until the middle of the coming week, Holly Springs Road in Cary is closed to thru traffic from Cary Parkway to Penny Road, and within that area, the portion of Holly Springs Road between Lily Atkins and High Ridge Drive is closed to all traffic. Residents living off Holly Springs Road in the affected area will be able to come and go via a series of detours. Northbound thru traffic can avoid the area entirely by detouring onto Penny Road to Kildaire Farm Road, Kildaire Farm Road to Tryon Road, Tryon Road to Cary Parkway, and Cary Parkway to back onto Holly Springs Road. Southbound thru travelers should simply reverse the route.

The road closure is necessary while the Town of Cary carries out a tanker truck hauling operation as part of its response to a problem at its Swift Creek Regional Pump Station.
