TRAFFIC ALERT

 

The outer two lanes of U.S. 1 North at the I-40 interchange in Wake County are temporarily closed because of an automobile accident that occurred at about 2:30 p.m. today.  Also, the ramp from I-40 East to U.S. 1 North has been closed.  The lanes and ramp are expected to remain closed while crews respond to and investigate the accident.  Motorists should avoid the area as there are heavy delays.
