AREA TEENS PREPARE TO FIND THEIR WAY IN CARY

National Motivational Speaker Jill Esplin to Help Teens Discover Their Future Paths

CARY, NC –Teens ages 11-18 will come together for third annual Teen Forum, entitled “Finding Your Way – Making a Mark,” on Saturday, March 11, 2006 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Herbert C. Young Community Center , 101 Wilkinson Ave. in Cary .  This conference-style event, which is designed by teens for teens, will include breakout sessions on an array of real-world topics including public speaking skills and self-motivation.  Advance tickets are $5 for Cary residents and $7 for non-residents and are available at any Town Community Center ; tickets at the door are $7 for residents and $8 for non-residents.  Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.  

“We are looking forward to another successful forum,” said Cindi King, Assistant Community Center Supervisor.  “This event provides a great opportunity for teens to learn more about themselves and share with other teens.  Each year, the speakers help guide our future leaders into a path that’s best catered to their individual personalities and goals.” 

This year, national motivational speaker Jill Esplin will enlighten teens on the topic, “Discover Your Real Color.”  As part of her presentation, teens will have the opportunity to take the Myers- Briggs personality test to learn more about their individual personality types.

The event is co-sponsored by BellSouth, Cary Chamber of Commerce, Crossroads Ford, Hampton Inn, Huntington Learning Center , Loop Pizza Grill, PSNC Energy, Progress Energy, Swank Chiropractic, The Cary News, Time Warner Cable and Wachovia.
