The Town of Cary ’s corporate limits have been located in both Wake and Chatham counties for nearly a decade.  Since the late 1990s, the Town of Cary has been receiving and approving citizen-initiated requests for annexation by Chatham County property owners who want to reside in Cary ; the Town has never initiated an annexation into Chatham County. 

Also, last night’s meeting was an open house for citizens; it was not a joint meeting of the Town’s elected bodies.
