EARLY VOTING OPENS TODAY IN WAKE COUNTY

No Excuse One-Stop Voting site to open in Cary October 28

 

 

CARY , NC – There’s no excuse for Cary residents and other Wake County citizens to miss their opportunity to impact key federal, state and county elections, including the School Bond Referendum, now that early voting has opened for the November 7 General Election.  No Excuse One-Stop Absentee Voting gets underway today at the Wake County Board of Elections and runs through Saturday, November 4 for the election, according to the following schedule:

 

Wake County Board of Elections, 337 South Salisbury St. , Raleigh

·         October 19 – 20                                     8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

·         October 23 – 27                                     8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

·         October 28 – 29                                     10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

·         October 30 – November 3                      8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

·         November 4                                            10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

 

Beginning October 28, early voting will begin at Cary ’s Herb Young Community Center , 101 Wilkinson Ave. as follows:

·         October 28 – 29                                     10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

·         October 30 – November 3                      11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

·         November 4                                            10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

 

One-stop voting will also be available beginning October 28 at the following locations:  Apex Community Center, 53 Hunter St.; Southeast Regional Library, 908 Seventh Ave., Garner; Wake Tech Community College, Student Services Building, 9101 Fayetteville Road, Raleigh; Knightdale Town Hall, 950 Steeple Square Court; Chavis Community Center, 505 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Raleigh; Sertoma Arts Center, 1400 W. Millbrook Road, Raleigh; and Police Substation # 22, 8320-120 Litchford Road, Raleigh.

 

Any Wake County registered voter may vote early at either of these locations.

 

Voters who choose to vote on Election Day must go to their regular polling places, which will be open 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on Election Day.  A voter’s assigned polling place is listed on each voter’s voter registration card. Registered voters may also visit http://www.wakegov.com/general/elections/default.htm  and select the "Check your voter registration & polling place" box to see their assigned polling place.

 

Election results will be carried live on Election Day on Cary TV 11 beginning at 7:30 p.m.
