CARY, NC – Cary Police arrested and charged two drug suspects following a search
warrant today at 2428 Holland Road in Apex; Cornelius
Tovar Baker, 25, of 2428 Holland Road in Apex was charged with two counts of
maintaining a dwelling and one count each of trafficking in cocaine and
trafficking in marijuana, and his aunt, Ruby Mae Baker,
38, of the same address was charged with one count of felony possession of
cocaine. During the search
warrant, police seized more than $10,000 cash along with 17.5 pounds of
marijuana, 2.3 pounds of powdered cocaine, a 9 mm handgun, and nine rifles and
shotguns.
Cary Police were able to apprehend and charge the two with the assistance of the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, Apex Police Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) and N.C. National Guard Reconnaissance Air Intrastate Detachment (RAID).
“We appreciate the assistance of our local
law enforcement agencies in helping to capture the suspects,” said Lieutenant
Tony Godwin. “Rest assured, we
will continue to work diligently to take drugs off the streets and out of our
communities.”
The suspects were transported to the
