PURSE THIEVES HIT CARY SHOPPING CENTER

 

CARY , NC The Town of Cary Police Department is asking for your help in identifying two men that have stolen purses and ladies wallets from employee break rooms in six Cary businesses in Crossroads Plaza , located on Walnut Street off U.S. 1/64.  Since early October, the men who are in their late teens to early 20s have stolen the items from A.C. Moore, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Petsmart, Pier 1 Imports, Cost Plus World Market, and Bed, Bath , & Beyond.  Two incidents occurred at A.C. Moore.  One of the suspects is also shown here following an attempted theft.

Police believe that the suspects are driving a green Ford Taurus with a dent in the driver’s side door.

“We are working with area businesses to identify and apprehend the suspects,” said Captain Dave Wulff. 

In each of the incidents, the suspects have used credit cards stolen from employees’ belongings to attempt to purchase items such as American Express gift cards.  Thus far, they have made $3,000 in purchases and attempted another $3,000 in purchases.
