SIGN UP FOR CARY ’S NEXT CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY

The Town of Cary ’s Police Department will conduct the next Citizens Police Academy August 30- November 8, 2006 with classes meeting each Wednesday from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.   The free, 11-week program covers topics such as criminal and constitutional law, patrol, criminal investigations, youth services, DWI detection, and domestic violence as well as a trip to the firing range.  This class is a prerequisite for citizens interested in becoming members of the Citizens Assisting Police (CAP) Team.  The application deadline is August 16; enrollment is limited.  You must be 18 years or older to participate.   Pick up an application at the Cary Police Department.  For more, call (919) 460-4903, e-mail Ken.Quinlan@townofcary.org or see Citizens Police Academy at www.townofcary.org.
