CELEBRATE WITH CHILDREN IN THE ARTS IN CARY SATURDAY

CARY, NC – Young artists are invited to the Cary Ballet Conservatory, 3791 NW Cary Parkway to showcase their talents and share their skills at “Celebration of Children in the Arts” on Saturday, October 7, 2:30-6 p.m.  Each year, the free event showcases the visual and performing arts of the area’s most talented youth.

Attendees will participate in hands-on activities such as painting, sidewalk art, paper quilting, origami and collage.  A member of the Fine Arts League of Cary will lead participants in a take-home activity.  Throughout the program, vocalists, instrumentalists, dancers and martial artists will perform.  Also artwork from local schools will be displayed, and refreshments will be sold.

“We invite everyone throughout the Triangle to bring their children out and join the Cary Ballet Conservatory in celebrating the talent of our area’s best and brightest,” said Sarah Bunch, Performing Arts Coordinator.  Bunch added that pre-registration is not required for participation in the hands-on activities.

The event is sponsored by the Cary Ballet Company, the Cary Ballet Guild and the Cary Ballet Conservatory; it is funded by a grant from the Town of Cary ’s Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival Committee.
