TOWN OF CARY TO PRESENT FIRST CARY PERFORMS

Five Groups to Showcase Their Talents in the Great Outdoors

CARY, NC – Dance, vocal and theatrical performers will take center stage on Sunday, April 23, 2006 at the Sertoma Amphitheatre at Bond Park, 801 High House Road for the Town of Cary’s first annual “Cary Performs” – an extravaganza that will feature five of Cary’s most talented performance groups.  Beginning at 2 p.m. , Applause! Youth Theatre, Cary Players, Cary Ballet, the Youth Philharmonic Association, and the Cary Junior Concert Choir will entertain the audience with an array of performances.

“Cary Performs is a great opportunity to see your favorite groups in one place,” said Sarah Bunch, Performing Arts Coordinator.  “There is a little something for every member of the audience, so bring the family, lunch and a blanket to enjoy the wonderful sights and sounds the show will bring.”

The show is free and open to the public.  Cary Performs marks the second performance in the Town’s annual Spring Sertoma Series.  Three performances remain in the series, including the Cary Town Band Concert on May 26, the Raleigh Jazz Orchestra on June 11, and the Triangle Wind Ensemble on June 18.
