REWARD OFFERED IN ATTEMPTED SEXUAL ASSAULT & ROBBERY IN CARY

CARY , NC A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for help in capturing a suspect involved in an attempted sexual assault and robbery at Cary ’s Fred G. Bond Metro Park , 801 High House Road .  At about 12:30 p.m. today, a female was retrieving items from a car between the playground and baseball fields when a suspect approached her, implying that he had a weapon, and demanded money; the suspect then knocked the victim unconscious with an unknown object. 

Pictured here, the suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches - 6 feet tall, in his 40s, slender to average build, with salt and pepper hair; he was last seen wearing a khaki coat and blue jeans.  The suspect’s direction of travel is unknown.

“This was a terrible crime, and we really hope the public will come forward and help us identify the suspect,” said Captain Dave Wulff.
