Black Creek GREENWAY EVENT AND OPERATION SAFE SUMMER canceled IN CARY

CARY, NC – As a result of damage from Tropical Storm Alberto, the Town of Cary has canceled the Black Creek Greenway Realignment and Smit Memorial Dedication at the Greenway as well as Operation Safe Summer at Kids Together Park, both scheduled for Saturday, June 17; both events will be rescheduled at a later date. 

Persons interested in contributing towards scholarships in honor of Kassel A. Smit are invited to attend the 2nd Annual Kassel Aaron Smit - Make A Difference Celebration that will be held as scheduled today at the Kiwanis Shelter at Bond Park, 801 High House Road , beginning with registration at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m.   Admission donations are $20 (adults) and $50 (family) and will help support the cause.
