LOOK WHO’S LAUGHING AGAIN IN CARY

Area Teenagers are ready to tickle your funny bone

CARY, NC – They first laughed their socks off in February 2006, and Applause! Cary Youth Theatre will be back at it again with another Improv Comedy Night on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 7 p.m. in the Cary Senior Center Ballroom, 801 High House Road; doors open at 6:30 p.m.  The fast-paced, hilarious show will feature the troupe’s talented improvisational comics in amusing characters, skits and games based on audience suggestions.

“If you missed it the first time, here’s another chance to catch Cary ’s humorous and talented teens live on stage,” said Youth Theatre Coordinator Rachel Green. Green added that the performance gives teens the opportunity to build their drama skills through confidence-building performances.

This free performance is part of a Drama Workshop Series class offered by Applause! Cary Youth Theatre to teach specific theatre skills to teens.  Class topics vary, and each class culminates in a performance designed to showcase skills learned in class.  The fall 2006 class focused on Improv Comedy.

Applause! offers youth theatre classes year-round, with week-long camps during the summer.  Additionally in the summer, the Applause! Touring Troupe rehearses and performs a patriotic drama as part of the Town of Cary ’s Independence Day festivities.  Auditions and Design Team interviews for the spring 2007 performance (TBD) will be held in early spring 2007.
