CARY
IS SAFEST IN NC AND IN THE
SOUTHEASTERN US
“This is a tremendous accomplishment, especially when
you consider that in communities with populations of 100,000 to 500,000,
Cary
’s pick as 10th safest came in an announcement from Morgan Quitno
Press, a publishing and research company based in Lawrence, KS, that measures a
city’s rate in six basic crime categories: murder, rape, robbery, aggravated
assault, burglary and motor vehicle theft. All
cities with 75,000+ populations that reported crime data to the FBI for the six
crime categories were included in the rankings and each of the six crimes were
given equal weight. Final 2004
statistics were used in determining the rankings.
Additional
information on these awards is available from Morgan Quitno Press via the
Internet at www.morganquitno.com or
