–
Cary
,
North Carolina
has been chosen as the hometown for the first
residential community designed and built by Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and KB Home.

feature approximately 650 single-family homes ranging from 1,500 to 4,100 square
feet and priced from the low $200s to the mid $400s, inspired by Martha
Stewart’s own homes in
New York

.
“The

Cary
, and we’re very proud to have been
chosen to be the first in the country,” said Cary Mayor Ernie McAlister.
“Martha Stewart and KB Home make quality their top priority, which is a
perfect fit for
Cary
where we pride ourselves in offering
our citizens the highest quality of life possible.”
McAlister will appear with KB Home
representatives at a

details of the project at the Cary Chamber of Commerce,

Cary

Founded
in 1871,
Cary
is a beautiful, thriving community in the heart of
North Carolina
adjacent to the renowned Research Triangle Park. Tree-lined
streets, well-groomed subdivisions and office parks, and numerous environmental
accolades show that Cary has grown the right way as it reached 111,000
residents and became the state’s seventh largest community, a community
that’s still officially named the Town of Cary.
Cary
is currently ranked the ninth
safest of 354 large cities in
America
and the safest in the South, and Cary has been in
the Top 10 safest cities in the nation since 2000.
The Town’s police, fire, and emergency medical services are all
nationally accredited as is its parks, recreation, and cultural resources
department.
Being
no further than 20 minutes from major universities such as Duke, North Carolina
State, and the University of North Carolina, it's no wonder that education is an
important part of Cary life. In
fact, more than two-thirds of adults in
Cary
hold a college degree, and
Cary
is purported to have more PhD’s per capita than
anywhere else in
North Carolina
.
