ART EXHIBIT IN CARY FEATURES BEST OF THE BEST

Meet and Greet the Artists and Instructors at Opening Reception Saturday

 

CARY , NC Seventeen of the area’s most talented artists and instructors are showcasing their work during the Instructors’ Art Show and Sale at Jordan Hall Arts Center in Cary this month.  As part of the variety art show, Arts Center instructors and staff are inviting Cary and surrounding areas to an opening reception on Saturday, October 8 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

 

“We are pleased to offer everyone the opportunity to interact one-on-one with the gifted instructors at Jordan Hall,” said Constance Belton, Jordan Hall Arts Center Supervisor.  “From ceramics to oil painting to water coloring, the Jordan Hall staff is looking forward to sharing their passion for teaching, creating and displaying a variety of original art.”

 

During the reception, visitors will be able to stop at booths where artists will display their work and demonstrate unique techniques.  In addition, some artwork will be available for sale.

 

“The reception comes just in time for holiday gift-giving,” said Belton.  “Even better, this event is also the perfect opportunity to pick up a new hobby and create original gifts.  The instructors will share information on their upcoming classes.”

 

Handouts will be available listing remaining fall and winter/spring classes.  The Center offers classes for ages 14 months and above. 

 

The reception is free and open to the public.  For those who cannot attend the reception, the art show runs through Monday, October 31.  The Arts Center is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.   The facility is closed on Sundays.

 

Named for developer George H. “Buck” Jordan, Jr., Jordan Hall Arts Center opened in 1993 as one more example of the Town of Cary 's commitment to high-quality arts education.  Each year, Jordan Hall offers provides more than 8,000 students of all ages with hands-on instruction in all aspects of visual arts. 

 

The Arts Center is located at 908 N. Harrison Avenue in Cary .
