EARLY VOTING OPENS TODAY

 

CARY , NC No excuse is necessary for early birds in Cary and throughout Wake County who want to go to the polls beginning today to have their say on municipal and school board elections.  One Stop No Excuse Absentee Voting gets underway today and runs through Saturday, October 8 for the October 11 election.  Dates and times for One Stop Voting vary for each site and are as follows:

 

Wake County Board of Elections, 337 South Salisbury St. , Raleigh

Thursday and Friday, September 22 and 23        8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Monday-Friday, September 26-30                         8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Monday-Friday, October 3-7                                   8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Saturday, October 8                                                 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

 

Herb Young Community Center , 101 Wilkinson Ave. , Cary

Saturday, October 1             10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Thursday, October 6              noon-8 p.m.

Friday, October 7                  noon - 8 p.m.

Saturday, October 8             10 a.m.-1 p.m.

 

Any Wake County registered voter may vote early at either of these locations.

 

Voters who choose to vote on Election Day must go to their regular polling places, which will be open 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on Election Day.  A voter’s assigned polling place is listed on each voter’s voter registration card. Registered voters may also visit http://www.wakegov.com/general/elections/default.htm and select the "Check your voter registration & polling place" box to see their assigned polling place.

 

Election results will be carried live on Election Day on Cary TV 11 beginning at 7:30 p.m.
