CARY POLICE SEEK HELP WITH SMASH AND GRAB BURGLARIES

CARY, NC – Cary Police are asking for your help in apprehending suspect(s) who may be connected to more than 20 thefts that have occurred in the past two months in Cary.  The most recent burglaries occurred at J&F Gemelli Hair Salon, B Roman Skin & Body Therapy and Java Jive, all located at 2425 Kildaire Farm Road , between 3 a.m. and 3:26 a.m. on Friday, December 23, during which the suspects stole money.

The suspect(s) are shown driving away in this photo in what appears to be an older-model Jaguar that is silver, gold or champagne and may have a transmission fluid leak.  The attached photo also shows a close-up of one of the suspects, who appears to be a white male between the ages of 20 and 29, about 6 feet tall with a slim build.

The Cary Police Department is investigating at least 19 other burglaries at Cary businesses, including Dollar General, Brooklyn Boy’s Pizzeria, Book Smart, Womack Electric Supply Company, Cookies in Bloom, By Grace Consignment, Cary General, Harmony Mediterranean Market, Vertical Urge, Flame Kissed Beads, Gymboree, Maximillian’s Grill & Wine Bar, Brook Mays Music, Exotic Tan, Monroe Muffler/Brake, Quik Drop, Brook Mays Music, Thompson Automotive, and West Cary Animal Hospital.  In each of the burglaries, the thieves have used a rock-like object to break out the front door and enter the business.

To deter criminals, police suggest keeping all entrances well-lit, especially front entrances.    Also, business owners should avoid keeping cash on premises after business hours, if possible.  Finally, it’s always a good idea to make sure that all property is properly secured.

Cary Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of person(s) involved with this crime.  If you have information, contact Crime Stoppers at 226-CRIM(E), or contact Capt. Dave Wulff at (919) 469-4017.  All calls will be kept CONFIDENTIAL at caller's request.
