BACKGROUND:
Congressman David Price has helped secure $250,000 to be split by the
police departments of
Cary
and
Chapel Hill
to purchase new, state-of-the-art digital
camera systems for patrol vehicles. The
ceremony will include comments from Officer George Almond who was
critically wounded during a traffic stop in 2001, a check presentation by
Congressman Price, and a demonstration of the technology in a patrol
vehicle.
In
case of rain, the event will move indoors to the main gallery of the Page
Walker
.
