Teen Scene Events for May
Teen Beach Blast
(middle school)Saturday May 4; 5 - 9 p.m.
Cary Senior Center
Kick off summer fun with a "Beach Blast"! We will grill out dinner, play games like beach-ball volleyball, get sand in our shoes and move to the music with a DJ dance party! Grab your friends for a great evening! For rising 6th through 9th graders. Registration ends April 23!
Jamfest 2002
Saturday, May 11; 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The Amphitheatre at Regency Park
JamFest 2002 is an opportunity to celebrate Youth Matter to Cary Day as our community, families, schools and congregations join together in a fun festival environment with music, games, food and other entertainment. The focus of this year’s event will be a teen band competition highlighting the musical talent and creativity of Cary area teens. There will be prizes awarded to bands based on pre-determined judging criteria. Bands will play from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with awards at 4:30 p.m. This event is co-sponsored by Cary Parks Recreations & Cultural Resources, Cary Police, Public Works & Utilities, Creating Assets Reaching Youth (C.A.R.Y.), and the Cary Teen Council. **NO COOLERS OR BACKPACKS**
Teen Movie Night!!
Saturday, May 25; 8 - 10 p.m.
Sertoma Amphitheatre, Bond Park
Now you can go to the movies that are picked by teens, for teens! On the 4th
Saturday of each month watch your favorite movies with no parents, no brothers
and sisters, and NO HIGH PRICES! Bring a few extra dollars for movie style
concessions. Bring your friends for a unique movie-watching experience. Gate
opens at 7:30 p.m. Movie will be moved to Cary Senior Center in the case of
inclement weather.
