MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS CAN DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY AT THE SPRING S.A.V.E. DANCE

CARY, NC – The Cary middle school Students Against Violence Everywhere (S.A.V.E.) members and the Town of Cary Police Department’s School Resource Officers (SRO) are sponsoring a semi-formal dance for area middle school students this Saturday, April 6 from 7 - 11 p.m. at Studio 56, E. Durham Street in Cary. The event is being held to promote positive ways to have fun while, at the same time, building on several important assets identified by teens in a recent survey as being important in helping them resist negative peer pressure, avoid dangerous situations, and resolve conflicts non-violently.

Cost for the dance is $6 at the door. Since Studio 56 can accommodate only 320 students, interested students are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at Studio 56. Call the club for more details (919) 319-1856.

A portion of the proceeds will be given to Middle School S.A.V.E. club members. Participating schools include Lufkin Middle School, West Lake Middle, Davis Drive Middle School, East Cary Middle, Dillard Drive Middle and West Cary Middle.
