NO INTERVIEWS FOR OFFICER POWELL
At the request of the family, the Town of Cary is notifying the media that neither Cary Police Officer Kevin Powell nor members of his family wish to participate in any interviews with the media until the case against Jevon A. Ward is settled in court.
Officer Powell and family greatly acknowledge the support of the public and the media during this difficult time. Officer Powell is recovering well from yesterday’s attack and will be off duty for as much as several weeks.
The Town of Cary asks members of the media not to contact the Powell family. When and if the Powells decide to participate in interviews, the Town will contact all media outlets to facilitate this process.
