After being cancelled last September in the wake of the events of September 11^th, the 5^th Annual Play With the Pros Concert has been rescheduled for May 21, 2002 at the Amphitheater at Regency Park in Cary. As a unique pairing between the Town of Cary and the North Carolina Symphony, this concert provides community-based musicians the opportunity to perform with the state’s premier symphony orchestra.

Community musician spaces are limited. Open instrument spaces include bassoon, contra bassoon, French horn, trumpet, timpani, percussion, harp, violin, viola, cello, and bass.

Registration began on April 1, 2002. You must register in person at the Town of Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources main office – 111 James Jackson Avenue in Cary. Spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Participation is free to Town of Cary residents and $5 for non-residents. Please call (919) 469-4061 for additional information.
