BUSINESS OWNER OFFERS REWARD
FOR INFORMATION IN BREAK-IN

CARY, NC – The owner of Carolina Mustang, located at 302 W. Chatham St., is offering a $250 reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of suspects responsible for the March 20 burglary of his business. Suspects entered the business and loaded transmissions, rocker arms, engine heads and nitrous kits onto a roll-back truck, also taken from the business. The truck was recovered on March 25 about 6½ miles north of Zebulon on Hwy 96.

"The parts that were taken are high performance parts which are used to build racing engines for cars involved in professional drag racing," according to investigator Randy Byrd. "This burglary is unique in that the break-in involved specific items instead of random property." Value of the missing parts is estimated at approximately $17,000. This case may be related to a similar incident that took place in Johnston County.

Cary Crime Stoppers will also pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the identification and apprehension of the individual responsible for this crime. Anyone with information may contact Crime Stoppers at 226-CRIM(E), pressing option 3 for Cary or contact Inv. Randy Byrd, Criminal Investigations, at 469-4319. All calls will be kept CONFIDENTIAL at caller's request.
