Applications are now being accepted from civic organizations for the 26^th annual Lazy Daze Arts and Crafts Festival, taking place on August 24^th, 2002. Eligible groups may apply either to provide concessions, have an information booth, or sell non-art or non-food items to raise money for their cause.

The deadline for applications is July 17, 2002. Applications are available at the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Administrative office at 111 James Jackson Ave. Suite 201 or by request at (919) 469-4061.

Cary-based groups are given first consideration, although regional groups with significant programming in the Town will be considered if space if available. Within the Cary-based groups, the following criteria are used to establish priority: 1) arts/cultural arts groups, 2) groups supporting Town initiatives, and 3) groups with downtown Cary initiatives.

Lazy Daze is a premier arts and crafts festival, with a reputation in the community and the Southeast for attracting superior artisans, and boasts an attendance of over 60,000 people each year.
