Ice Cream Social for Seniors
Wednesday, July 3, 2:30 - 4 p.m., Cary Senior Center
Get ready for the Independence Day festivities with an annual event that is tasty and fun for all! Enjoy a favorite summer treat, ice cream sundaes, while being entertained by the wonderful day camp children! Hosted by the Cary Rotary Club. Registration deadline: June 28th! Carolina Arts Festival: "Broadway Rocks for the Arts"
Wednesday, July 3, 6:30 p.m., Amphitheatre at Regency Park
The Town of Cary hosts "Broadway Rocks for the Arts," featuring Broadway stars Terrence Mann, Lauren Kennedy, Deborah Gibson, Alice Ripley, Anthony Rapp, Daphne Rubin-Vega. Popular national recording artists, The Connells, will open. Get tickets at the Amphitheatre box office or all Ticketmaster outlets. Adult tickets are $15--$25. Students half price. 14th Annual Independence Eve Concert Featuring the Cary Town Band!

What a great way to get "in the mood" for a terrific Independence Day holiday! Join the Cary Town Band as they perform the very best patriotic tunes in honor of the birthday of our nation. Guest speaker will be Col. Frenk Swett, US Army National Guard. Admission is free. Call

Independence Day Olde Time Celebration
Wednesday, July 4, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., Bond Park Lakefront
Come join us for an old fashioned celebration of our nation’s birth. The day begins with a parent/child fishing tournament (registration begins at 7:30 a.m. for the fishing tournament), followed by a whole host of games and competitions. Refreshments are available at the Boathouse. Boat rentals are available during the event. Admission is free. Call (919) 469-4100 for more information.

July 4th Celebration at Regency Park
Thursday, July 4, Noon, Amphitheatre at Regency Park
In conjunction with the Carolina Arts Festival the celebration will include arts organization booths, local entertainment and more leading up to a performance by the Cary Town Band, then a special July 4 concert by the North Carolina Symphony and a spectacular fireworks display to cap off the celebration. This event is free and open to the public. Picnic baskets are permitted, but an array of food and beverages are available on-site. Call (919) 469-4061 for more information.

Star-Spangled SpongeBob SquarePants Party
Saturday, July 6, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Herbert C. Young Community Center
Hey Kids! (ages 5-12), join us for an afternoon with SpongeBob, Squidward, Patrick and Sandy Cheeks! We'll eat some Krabby Patties, blow some bubbles and create your own SpongeBob SquarePants to take home. Lots of fun games and activities for you to enjoy! A light lunch will also be served.
