CARY POLICE SEEK HELP IN RECENT ROBBERY CASE

CARY, NC – The Town of Cary’s Police Department is asking for your help in identifying a man involved in an armed robbery late New Year’s Day. At approximately 9:00 p.m, the suspect entered the Grocery Boy Jr. at 8559 Chapel Hill Rd.. After entering the store, the suspect went to the front counter and asked for a pack of cigarettes from the clerk. The clerk asked for identification and the suspect pulled out a knife from his pocket. He held the knife in his right hand over the counter and demanded money from the register. The clerk gave him the money from the register. The suspect then left with the money and the cigarettes.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 16-24 years of age, 5’9" to 5’11", 155-170 pounds. He had a mustache and a faint beard. He was wearing all white and had a white cloth around his head.

Cary Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the identification and apprehension of the individual responsible for this crime.
