WHAT: Unveiling of the first of four sculptures ready to be sent to the foundry for casting to comprise the North Carolina Fallen Fighters Memorial.

BACKGROUND:
The North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Foundation has been working for over two years to fund a life size monument honoring all state firefighters who have and will die in the line of duty. Similar events for each of the remaining three sculptures that will complete the memorial are being planned. Dates and locations are currently unavailable but organizers expect that these will take place in other parts of the state. See
