DOMENIE AUTOPSY REPORT NOT AVAILABLE TODAY

CARY, NC –Town of Cary police learned today that the official autopsy report on Heather Anne Domenie will not be released today and may not be complete for quite some time as medical examiners work on their findings and conclusions.

Domenie, 33, was discovered not breathing and apparently dead in her home at 206 North Becket Street in western Cary at 9:26 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2002.

"While there has been a lot of speculation as to the cause of Ms. Domenie’s death, we cannot discuss the case with complete certainty until the medical experts file their report," said Cary Police Chief W. J. "Windy" Hunter. Once in print, the report will be available to the public.

Hunter said that his department would continue working to gather information in the case, which he describes as "an active death investigation".
