WATERSHIP DOWN
TO BE PERFORMED IN CARY
CARY, NC – Burning Coal Theatre Company will present a brand new stage adaptation of Watership Down in a special engagement at Sertoma Amphitheatre in Bond Park, 801 High House Road, on May 20 at 7:30 PM. In this one-night engagement, Richard Adam’s endearing and beloved modern classic comes alive in Sertoma Amphitheatre’s beautiful natural setting. Watership Down is on the required list of reading for ninth graders, but the story speaks to adult audiences as well.
Tickets to this performance ($8 for adults and $4 for students and children) will be sold at the performance or in advance at the Herbert C. Young Community Center, Bond Park Community Center and the Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Administrative Office. Call 469-4061 for more information.
The Sertoma Amphitheatre is one of Cary’s best-kept secrets, nestled away inside Bond Park. This intimate, 350-seat amphitheatre is a perfect setting for spring and summer offerings of music and theatre. Watership Down kicks off this year’s Sertoma Series. The Sertoma Series continues on Saturday, June 30 with A Little Summer Night Music – Broadway Love Songs and concludes on July 28 and August 4 with La Thunkuna – Bolivian Dance and Percussion.
