New, more costly water rates will go into effect in March for businesses and residences that use extraordinarily high amounts of water in Cary. The changes take effect on March 1^st and will begin appearing on customers’ April statement. The move is part of an ongoing comprehensive plan by the Cary Town Council to protect and preserve the region’s water supply through encouraging wise water use. Letters detailing the new charges for each type of water customer are being distributed now.
