TOWN CREWS FLUSH WATER LINES
AS PART OF YEARLY WATER QUALITY PROGRAM
CARY, NC – During the mandated annual water treatment disinfection process changeover that occurs in March, Town crews will flush the water system through fire hydrants as needed to maintain water quality throughout the distribution system. Crews have begun flushing major water lines, and will continue with secondary water lines. As a result of flushing, which can start as early as 4 AM, the driving public may come upon wet pavement and should use caution, especially during the early morning commute. Town crews will not be flushing when temperatures approach freezing. Flushing will continue as needed throughout the month of March. Customers who have questions or who have water that fails to clear should call the Town of Cary Public Works & Utilities Department at 469-4090 or visit the Town’s website at www.townofcary.org for more information.
