Attend a Summer Camp Where You Explore Nature
Openings are still available for two Mini-Camps at the Stevens Nature Center in Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve.
Young Ecologists Mini-Camp: "Birds of the Bluffs" (Ages 9-13)
Campers spend the day doing field investigations, indoor and outdoor activities, projects, and games in this 3 day camp to investigate the birds of Hemlock Bluffs and build birdwatching skills and discover fascinating facts about regional birds. From identification of species by sight and sound, to habitat investigations, young bird watchers will enjoy this opportunity to study the birds of the preserve.
Fees: $90 ($75 for Cary Residents)

"Sundown Explorers Mini-Camp" (Ages 8-12)
Satisfy some of your curiosity about nature at night in this mini-camp. Staff members, Lisa Richardson and Angela Barnes, lead campers as they seek out, search for, sample and spotlight some of the animals that chirp, creep and call at night in Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. Discover some of the mysteries of the nighttime woods and investigate the lives and lifestyles of nature’s nightlife.
Fees: $85 ($70 for Cary Residents)
