SAFETY TOWN SUMMER CAMP PREPARES RISING KINDERGARTNERS FOR NEW CHALLENGES

 

CARY, NC – Cary’s annual Safety Town mini camp emphasizes safety awareness in preparation for the upcoming school year. Activities and special guests are designed to emphasize personal safety, water safety, gun and poison safety, pedestrian safety, fire safety, and dialing 911.

Morning sessions take place Monday to Thursday, June 18 – 28, at Northwoods Elementary School, 8850 Chapel Hill Road, from 9:30 to noon, and the afternoon session meets from 1:00 to 3:30 PM.

In addition to crafts, songs, puzzles and other safety-related games and projects, special guests from the Fire Department, Police Department, and the 911 Communications Center present safety tips in their particular areas of expertise. Other guests include YMCA personnel, a Wake County school bus driver, and McGruff the Crime Dog.
