POLICE SEARCH FOR SUSPECTS IN ARMED ROBBERIES
CARY, NC – Cary Police are asking for you help as they continue to search for suspects in three robberies that occurred November 9 and 10. At about 6 p.m. on November 9, a black male walked into Village Cleaners located at 1867 N. Harrison Avenue and asked to see the manager. When the female employee told the suspect that the manager wasn’t in, he pulled out a large black handgun from under his shirt and demanded that she open the register and give him all the money. After he was handed all of the cash, the suspect exited the business and walked towards Sam’s Club. The suspect is described as 5’6" to 5’8" tall, 240-250 pounds, brown eyes and dark complexion. He was wearing a blue pullover shirt and blue shorts.
Later the same evening at about 10 p.m., a black male and a white male, both in their late 20’s or early 30’s, entered the Subway restaurant at 921 N. Harrison Avenue. The black male walked up to the only employee in the business at the time, punched him in the face several times, then demanded money from the register. When the employee was unable to open the register, the white male suspect opened it and removed the cash drawer. Both suspects left the business, got into a vehicle and left the area. Police believe that this case is related to the robbery of another Subway on Kildaire Farm Road on November 7. The black male is 5’11-6’0" tall, thin build and was wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans and a toboggan hat. The white male had a mustache, was a little shorter than the black male, thin build, and was wearing a flannel jacket, blue jeans and a toboggan.
The following day, November 10, at about 9:45 p.m., two black males entered the Golden China restaurant at 2432 Cary Parkway through the open rear door brandishing weapons and telling everyone to get on the floor. One of the suspects remained at the rear door while the other removed the cash register from the front counter as well as a purse belonging to an employee. Both suspects then exited through the same rear door, got into a vehicle and left the area. The first suspect was 6’0" or 6’1" tall, 190-200 pounds and was wearing a black mask, dark blue shirt, dark blue pants and white tennis shoes. The second man, 5’9" –6’1" tall, 200-220 pounds, was also wearing a dark blue shirt and pants and white tennis shoes. Police believe that this case is related to numerous other robberies of Chinese restaurants that have taken place starting in August in Zebulon, Knightdale, Wake County, Wake Forest, Wendell, Garner, Clayton, Raleigh, Smithfield, Spring Hope, Nashville and Rocky Mount.
