ANNUAL WINTER NC SYMPHONY CONCERT
COMING UP IN CARY
CARY, NC – The full North Carolina Symphony directed by William H. Curry will present an evening of favorites and special treats in the annual "Play with the Pros" concert slated for 7:30 PM on Saturday, February 3rd in the Cary Community Center. After performing three pieces--George Chadwick’s "Jubilee" from Symphonic Sketches, Ottorino Respighi’s Fountains of Rome, and Johann Strauss, Jr.’s Tales from the Vienna Woods, the orchestra will be joined onstage by pre-registered area musicians for two more pieces--Tchaikovsky’s Polonaise from Eugene Onegin and Rossini’s Overture to William Tell, to top off the evening.
"It’s really a rare and wonderful opportunity to be able to see the full symphony free of charge in your own backyard," said Scotty Elliott, Town of Cary Cultural Arts Program Coordinator.
"Play with the Pros" is the third in Cary’s four-concert Marvelous Music Series which will close in May with the fourth concert to feature the Girls Choir of Harlem on Tuesday, May 1 at 7:30 PM.
