NIGHT MUSIC AT SERTOMA AMPHITHEATRE
CARY, NC – A Little Summer Night Music: Broadway Love Songs Under the Stars will be presented at Sertoma Amphitheatre in Bond Park on Saturday, June 30, 2001 at 8:00 PM. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Tickets will be available at the gate or in advance from the community centers and the senior center.
The concert will provide an evening of affordable family entertainment by some of the area’s most talented singers. An ensemble of seven local performers—Yolanda Batts, Matthew Bowman, Tatiana Guy, Rus Hames, Jennifer Hoegemeyer, John Oliver, and Brenda Smith--will perform 24 favorite Broadway love songs. Special cameo performances include Carolyn Sampson, Howard Kelly, Jane Muldoon-Smith, Virginia O’Brien, Deb Royals, and Scotty Elliott. Don't miss "Summer Lovin' " from Grease, "Climb Every Mountain" from The Sound of Music, "Seasons of Love" from Rent and more! This outdoor concert provides a perfect opportunity to spend an enjoyable evening with family, friends or that special someone.
Sertoma Amphitheatre will host two summer performances of La Thunkuna, a Bolivian dance and percussion group, on July 28th & August 4th. A fall series of performances includes the Triangle Wind Ensemble, Banjo in the Hollow and Kate Campbell.
