Cary Development Services Chief Fulfills Longtime Career Ambition

CARY, NC Town of Cary Development Services Director Robert Tucker has announced that he will leave public service to start his own consulting firm, Robert E. Tucker and Associates. Tucker will leave the Town on March 17th.
"Ive always wanted to own my own business, and now seems like the right time for me to make this move," said Tucker.
Tucker, 47, came to Cary in 1996 as the Towns first Development Services Director. As the head of that department, Tucker supervised all activities of the Towns Engineering, Planning & Zoning, Development Review, and Inspections & Permits divisions. Prior to coming to Cary, Tucker was the Director of Engineering Services in Brunswick County and an Assistant County Engineer in Wake County. As a licensed Professional Engineer, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University
