Cary Police Arrest Bank Robbery Suspect

CARY POLICE ARREST BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT
CARY, NC Cary police, in conjunction with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, have arrested Brandon Caine Delamar, 21, for the robbery of November 15, 1999 Fidelity Bank on Holly Springs Road. After a subsequent investigation, Delamar was also charged with robbing the Grocery Boy Junior on Lake Pine Drive on August 20, 1999 and on January 19, 2000 and with breaking and entering and burglary of a residence on Deerwood Drive on November 22, 1999.
"Getting these crimes out in front of the community was instrumental in capturing this suspect, and we really appreciate all the attention our local media gave to these cases, " said Cary Police Chief WJ "Windy" Hunter.
Information obtained through Cary CRIMESTOPPERS and a phone tip to the FBI, along with cooperation between local and federal law enforcement agencies, were instrumental in solving these cases.
Delamar was arrested at his home on February 3rd without incident and taken to Wake County Detention Center where he is awaiting trial under a $23,000 secured bond. He has been charged with one count of armed robbery, two counts of common law robbery, and one count of felonious breaking and entering.
