Reward Offered in Attempted Kidnapping Case

REWARD OFFERED IN ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING CASE
CARY, NC Cary
Police are asking for help in apprehending a man wanted for
attempting to kidnap a 13 year old girl. On Sunday afternoon
while walking her dog, the girl was approached by a man in a car
asking directions. As she got near the car, the man reached
across the seat, through the passenger side door that was open,
grabbed her, and attempted to pull her in, according to the
victim. She reports that the car actually started moving before
she broke free. As the victim was breaking free, her brother
drove up behind the suspect vehicle and gave chase. The incident
and chase started on Cowley Road and proceeded onto Tryon Road
and then onto Piney Plains Road and into the Crossroads area of
Walnut Street.
The suspect is described as a white male, 30 to 35 years old, 5'10" to 6' tall, medium build, short brown hair, mustache and goatee. The suspect vehicle is described as a straight drive, forest green, two-door car with Tinted windows. It may be a Saturn or Pontiac Sunfire. The vehicle license tag may contain the numbers 2, 5, and/or 7.
Cary Crimestoppers will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the identification and apprehension of the man responsible for this crime.
