Kazoo Concert and Egg Hunt at Bond Park

NEWS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 18, 2000

KAZOO CONCERT AND EGG HUNT AT BOND PARK

CARY, NCRick Hubbard, "The King Of Kazoo" will appear in concert on Friday, April 21st at 11:00 AM & 2:30 PM in the Sertoma Amphitheater in Fred G. Bond Metro Park. This performance will be held in conjunction with the Town of Cary's annual Egg Hunt celebration. All of the activities, including Hubbard's appearance, are free and open to the public.

Rick Hubbard celebrates more than a decade of bringing positive family entertainment to audiences across America. In Rick's "Kazoo Band" show, every audience member receives a free kazoo and performs with Rick in the grand finale. While Rick plays guitar, banjo, steel drum, or kazoo, kids participate on stage--dancing, singing, shaking maracas, or playing air guitars. Every song is an opportunity for kids to participate.

Because of the large numbers of people attending the egg hunt in previous years, two identical egg hunts have been scheduled. The morning activities will begin at 9:00 AM and the afternoon program will begin at 12:30 PM. If inclement weather occurs on that Friday, Hubbard's performances will be moved to the Cary Community Center, 404 N. Academy Street in downtown Cary. The Egg Hunt, however, would be re-scheduled for the following day, Saturday, April 22.
