Suspect Sought in Bank Robbery

SUSPECT SOUGHT IN BANK ROBBERY
CARY, NC –
The Cary Police Department is seeking help in capturing one suspect involved in a robbery of a bank in Cary. At 3:28 PM, Cary Police received a robbery call from the BB&T Bank at 848 SE Maynard Road, in the west side of the Cary Towne Center near the intersection of SE Maynard and Walnut Street. A white male had entered the bank; he was not showing any weapons. He threatened a teller and gave her a note stating he wanted the money in her bank drawer. An undisclosed amount of cash was handed over to the suspect, and the suspect then fled the bank. He left the bank and ran toward the Taco Bell restaurant on Maynard Road.
The white male is described as 5'8" to 5'10" Tall, 150-155 pounds, 30-35 years old, with light blond hair, fair complexion, may have had a mustache or beard, wearing a baseball cap, light colored shirt, light colored shorts and brown work boots. The suspect was also wearing a bandage on his left wrist, perhaps an ace type bandage. Cary Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the identification and apprehension of the men responsible for this crime.
