CARY POLICE SEARCH FOR MISSING YADKINVILLE MAN

CARY, NC-- The Cary Police Department is searching for a missing Yadkinville man who came to the area with friends over the weekend and disappeared sometime Saturday. Randall Paul Tobias, 44, was antiquing in the Triangle. Alone and on foot, he left the Motel 6 on Buck Jones Road where he was staying and had something to eat at the Waffle Shop on Walnut Street. Staff there remember seeing him about 9:00 PM but cannot provide any details about his leaving.

"We have not ruled out anything at this point, including foul play," said Investigator Tammy Howard of the Cary Police Department. While unable to release details of the investigation, Howard said that there was little evidence to support that Tobias may have planned his own disappearance.

Tobias is 6’3" and 195 lbs. with blue eyes and one pierced ear. He has long, salt and pepper hair which he often wears in a ponytail. Based on information from Tobias’ wife, police believe that Tobias was last wearing olive Levi shorts, a military green T-shirt, and black, lace-up boots.

Cary Police have listed Tobias with the National Crime Information Computer system. This will ensure that if any law enforcement agency encounters Tobias for any reason, Cary PD will be notified.

Cary Crimestoppers, in cooperation with the Town of Cary, will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the identification and apprehension of any individuals who may have committed crimes in this case.
