Reward Offered in Cary Weekend Shooting

REWARD OFFERED IN CARY WEEKEND SHOOTING
CARY, NC -- The Cary Police Department is searching for Victor Ahuja Rodriguez, 24, of 2550 Carpenter Upchurch Road wanted in connection with the September 26th shooting of a 16 year old boy in west Cary. Rodriguez is 54" tall, 150 lbs. with brown eyes and black hair. He should be considered armed and dangerous. He has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious bodily injury.
"The subject left on foot and may still be in the area," said Lt. Steve Lee of Cary PDs Criminal Investigations Unit. "We need everyones help in finding him as soon as possible."
The shooting occurred on Saturday shortly after 3:00 PM at 2550 Carpenter Upchurch Road. Two men were arguing in the yard when one went inside and brought out a high-powered rifle. A shot was fired, hitting a third man as he came around the corner of the residence. The victim was struck in his left side causing extensive permanent injuries. He is continuing to receive treatment at Duke University Hospital.
Cary Crimestoppers will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the apprehension of the individual responsible for this crime.
