CARY POLICE NAB INDECENT EXPOSURE SUSPECT
CARY -- The Town of Cary Police Department has charged a Roxboro man with two counts of Indecent Exposure. Reginald Tuck, 36, was arrested early this morning and taken to a Wake County Magistrates Office for processing.
Officer Rick Glancy of the Cary PD investigated seven incidents of suspicious activity involving a black male suspect in McArthur Park who allegedly approached joggers and two children at bus stops, making inappropriate comments and exposing himself in two cases. The incidents began in September, 1997, and occurred through January 9, 1998.
Glancy and members of Carys Special Response Team organized a stakeout of the area on Monday and early this morning observed a black male driving very slowly through the area. Police stooped the vehicle driven by Tuck for an identification check during which they discovered that Tucks drivers license had been revoked. Tuck later confessed to all of the other incidents.
"Im very proud of the work done by our officers," said Cary Police Chief Dave Fortson. "We must all continue to work together as a community to fight this sort of threat." Cary Police are encouraging all citizens to be aware of strangers and to report any suspicious behavior to the proper authorities immediately.
