Suspect Sought In Attempted Bank Robbery

SUSPECT SOUGHT
IN ATTEMPTED BANK ROBBERY
CARY -- The Town of Cary is seeking help in capturing a suspect involved in an attempted common-law robbery of a bank in central Cary. Officers believe the suspect to be Harry George Lyke, 42, of Cary. At about 4:10 p.m. on October 15th, the suspect attempted to rob the Branch, Banking, & Trust at 924 Kildaire Farm Road. No one was hurt. No funds were taken.
Lyke is a white male, about 56", 135 lbs., long brown hair, full beard. He has tattoos on both forearms. He was last seen wearing a black, "biker" T-shirt and blue jeans. A black Ford coupe may be involved.
