Community Meeting Set to Discuss Cary Development Transportation Requirements
The Town of Cary is considering changes to its transportation requirements for development and wants citizen feedback. Join Town staff on September 29 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Cary Arts Center for a community meeting to discuss current transportation development processes and evaluate future options. Currently, the Town of Cary has the following transportation requirements to guide street, bike, pedestrian, and transit development: a comprehensive transportation plan of the future system; standards for secondary streets; transportation development fees to offset the impact of development; and traffic study requirements to determine when improvements are required. Feedback will be presented to the Cary Town Council at its November 15 work session. For more information, search “Comprehensive Transportation Plan” at www.townofcary.org or call (919) 469-4030.
