American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Funding
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) was signed by President Barack Obama on February 17, 2009. The $787 billion economic stimulus package included funds for local governments. Cary has been awarded five grants totaling $2,758,060 for energy efficiency, community development, transit, police and greenway construction.
